![]() ![]() My kids liked building the race cars, but it's kind of a free for all, with just bins and bins of legos and car pieces, no structure to anything. It actually had some of the best 3D movie effects I've ever seen. The bin of plastic beads that are melted down, the mold that makes the bricks, how they're colored, etc.Disappointing. It's a series of model examples of what happens. When I saw it on the website, I thought it meant like an actual tour where you could see the legos being made. I loved it so much!! Oh, I forgot to mention the "factory tour". They also have lego representations of the key parts of The Wizard of Oz - Dorothy's house, Munchkinland, Emerald City, and the Witch's castle (and if you look up, the wizard's hot air balloon and the flying monkeys!). My favorite part was Miniland, which is a miniature representation of the main parts of Kansas City. Past that, you go into the larger part of the facility. Afterward, there is a little desk area to see the photo you had taken when you walked in AND a photo that was taken during the ride that shows the score of each family member in your ride car, with the option to purchase. You compete against the others in your car to see who can shoot the most targets and get the highest score. This was my second favorite part of our visit. When you step off the elevator, the first thing you do is get in line for the Kingdom Quest ride. If they weren't, the place would be even more of a madhouse than it already is. You'll be happy that entrance times are staggered, trust me. If you look at the map on the website, it looks like it's a huge, open building with all kinds of play areas and things to do. I'm glad we went, my boys (8 and 10) enjoyed it, but I was let down. My actual feelings about this place are more of a 3.5 than a 4. You start your visit by having your photo taken, and the photographer then leads you to the elevator to go up and into the activity areas. We had our tickets already (no need to print them, just have the confirmation number or email with you), so we walked right in, got our physical tickets, and headed to the entrance. Please, please check the website before visiting, safe yourself a hassle (and money) and get advanced tickets with a set entry time. I felt so, so sorry for the people who didn't and had to stand outside in the massive line. Seriously, I can't stress this enough, you NEED to buy your tickets in advance. ![]()
